You're worried about your historical data? I wouldn't be. Make sure you only pull down the products and classifications you need, and do monthly maintenance on it. We found it easier to decom the box, spin up a new one and away we go. If you've been slack in your maintenance, it can take forever if it finishes at all. You have to go into the WSUS settings and do a cleanup from there, basically clearing out machines that haven't checked in for 30+ days, declining/deleting expired or superseded updates, that sort of thing. If you've done the console cleanup, that doesn't do much, you're basically clearing the settings for the MMC in your profile. ![]() If you're running on the Jet or SQL Express or whatever the OOB is, you've likely hit your size limit.
